Skilled artisans dye jute yarn earthy red and ivory by hand, then weave the natural fiber into a bold diamond-patterned rug. The traditional pot-dying method yields intriguingly uneven coloration that creates a three-dimensional effect, while the inherent variations of jute bring depth and rich texture to the finely woven harlequin pattern. Undyed jute borders on either end finish the durable rug with an organic touch. Evoking tilework, Toulon's alternating stripes of terracotta-on-ivory and ivory-on-terracotta diamonds make a strong statement in a kitchen, entryway or dining room.

- Natural-fiber jute rugs are incredibly durable and tactile, and can be used in any room of the home (although avoid areas that are exposed to moisture).
- Vacuum with suction only; do not use bristles as they might pull the rug fibers.
- Do not pull loose threads; if fibers become loose, clip with scissors to the height of the rug pile.
- Jute rugs should be professionally cleaned; do not use water or household cleaners.
- Use a light,damp cloth with warm water to blot stains. Do not scrub spills or dilute w/ water as this will work liquid into fibers.
- We recommend pairing with a rug pad to increase the lifespan of the rug, protect fibers against hard surfaces, and to provide additional comfort.
